We understand purchasing your forever ring online can be quite daunting. That’s why here at The Moissanite Company, we have put a number of processes in place, and will always go above and beyond to ensure your journey with us is smooth, memorable and positive. 

We consider your ring a beautifully unique journey- we are playing a small part in your love story, and we don’t take that for granted…not for a second! 

Read below as we step you through our process, and the options you have access to when purchasing a ring with The Moissanite Company.

Our Signature Range

Our signature range has been intentionally designed and curated with refined and elegant designs, you’ll love now and forever. Crafted to order using only the finest materials, ensuring your piece lasts a lifetime. Our signature range is completely customisable - whether it be carat size, metal type or removal/addition of certain ring elements. Simply leave a note at checkout, or complete a custom ring submission form using one of our beautiful designs as a starting point.

Complete Custom

Being a bespoke jeweller, we can craft any ring your heart desires. Simply fill out a custom order form on our website, and we will be in touch to work with you on your desired specifications, and a quote. The average turnaround for a custom design is 4-6 weeks, the same as our Signature Bespoke Rings.

The Process

Step 1

Once placing an order (custom, or a signature range piece), you will receive an order confirmation with your order details, and everything you need to know regarding next steps. Our talented designers get to work, and ensure you receive a computer-aided design (CAD) within 10-12 days from your purchase.

Below, you will find an example of a CAD. You are in complete control at this stage, and can request amendments until you are 100% happy with the design.

Step 2 & 3 

Firstly, the printing of the ring occurs with 3D printing technology. This forms the wax model of your chosen design. Our jewellers inspect the 3D model, and ensure it is perfect before moving onto the next step.

Now, the casting process begins. Our jewellers embed the mould in a metal flask which is then filled with a plaster-like substance. The final model is left to harden, then placed in a special oven at extremely high temperatures. This is referred to as the “lost wax process” – the wax will be completely burnt away until all that is left is a hollow impression of your beautiful custom design. Now your chosen molten metal is poured into the model and then cooled.

Step 4, 5 & 6

Once the casting is complete it is time for the preliminary finishing. This is where the ring is tidied and pre-polished to prepare for your beautiful moissanite stone to be set. Our jewellers meticulously secure your Moissanite Company stone in place, ensuring each prong is perfect.

Now, its time for polishing and the finalisation of your ring. Your beautiful ring is given one last polish, and if your ring is white gold, it is plated in rhodium.

The Final Step 

Once reaching this point in the journey, we provide completion videos for your viewing. Your ring is then packaged and ready for collection or, prepared to be shipped and delivered safely to your door via express shipping.
