Callye and JC's Love Story
In our blog series, Your Love Story, we interview our beloved couples who have found their dream ring at The Moissanite Company.
Callye and JC first crossed paths sophomore year of high school, but their connection soon turned more serious when they first started dating junior year. Years later, the high school sweethearts committed lifelong lovers when JC proposed during a beautiful beachside proposal surrounded by Callye’s family in North Carolina.
They shared all the details of their proposal, love story and wedding plans with us, and we are so excited to share it with you!
Q. All great love stories have a beginning, so tell us yours! How did you meet?
A. We met our sophomore year of high school where we became friends & then started dating junior year.
Q. We're in the business of proposals, and never get tired of hearing your stories: tell us all about the moment you popped the question!
A. We were on vacation with my (Callye’s) family and had decided to venture to the point of Oak Island, North Carolina at sunset to enjoy the spectacular views. I was taking photos of the beautiful sunset, the next thing I knew JC was down on one knee!
Q. It's been an honour to play a small part in your love story so far. What made you choose The Moissanite Company and how did you decide on your ring design?
A. I gave JC inspiration for what I was looking for - I loved yellow gold and your gorgeous solitaire ring designs. I told him different cuts I liked, but he took the initiative and did all the research. He did an amazing job picking out the perfect ring! He settled on an Emerald Cut Solitaire with a Hidden Halo. I never mentioned whether I wanted a Hidden Halo or not, but I absolutely love it. He crushed it.
Q. You've chosen to spend the rest of your lives together, so what is it that you love most about each other & your relationship?
A. Simply put, he's my best friend. He's the first one I go to with all things good and all things bad. He is ready to drop anything for me. He is considerate, helpful, hilarious, loving and kind and always encourages me in everything I do!
Q. While you might be still soaking in the proposal love bubble, have you made any plans for your wedding? We'd love to hear all about it!
A. Currently we have not made a lot of progress. We've been doing lots of research on venues and photographers but unfortunately, the venue we want most is booked for the entire next year, so we’re still figuring it out!
