At The Moissanite Company, we are committed to a sustainable ‘now’ and ‘future’ - constantly improving upon our sustainability practices and focus on giving back.
Whilst choosing a lab-grown gemstone saves over 65 kgs of CO2, 57 kgs of air pollution and 227 tonnes of earth, and doesn't require the destruction of vital ecosystems from mining, we can’t hide from the inevitable. Despite our efforts, we are still faced with the realities of mining and degradation of vital habitats from those that choose to operate unethically in the jewellery industry.
Earth Day for us represents how we can strive to be our best, most sustainable selves, in every facet of what we do. We pioneer the jewellery industry with an unwavering dedication to producing the highest quality pieces, whilst remaining committed to our core values of sustainable manufacturing. We play our role to support environmental protection through sustainable practices, responsible sourcing and conscious crafting alongside smaller, yet still impactful, daily pledges to sustainability.
However, Earth Day also provides us with an opportunity to reflect. At The Moissanite Company, we provide bespoke, ethical and affordable bridal jewellery for the modern couple - with the environment in front of mind, always. But there is always more that can be done.
We commit this Earth Day by donating $100.00 from every order on the 22nd and 23rd of April to The Wheen Bee Foundation, who are committed to protecting one of the Earth's most vulnerable and important species - Bees.
Bees are a keystone species. They play a vital role in preserving biodiversity and ecosystem health and without them, many ecosystems would be altered or cease to exist altogether. With the prevalence of mining and the consequent deforestation, we need to continue to protect this dwindling species, at all costs. 
When we think of Bees, we think of honey. But we don't often think about the impact they have on our ecosystems or the fundamental link between honey bees and food security. Hence, in supporting The Wheen Bee Foundation we are doing our part in aiding their vision to see healthy bees and prosperous bee industries.
