Moissanite
A moissanite is its own unique gemstone, just as sapphires and emeralds are their own unique gemstones. Moissanite, however, boasts a similar durability to a diamond, as well as an uncanny visual resemblance to a diamond, making it the perfect alternative for bridal jewellery.
Moissanite is a more affordable option when compared to cultured diamonds, ranging between $1,200.00 and $5,000.00+. Moissanite allows you to indulge in your dream ring design and a larger carat size, without exceeding a reasonable budget.
A moissanite is the perfect choice for somebody who desires the highest quality diamond alternative, that is ethical and affordable.
Lab Grown Diamond
A laboratory grown diamond is chemically and optically the same as a mined diamond. They are one in the same - real diamonds. A lab grown diamond, however, is created above ground sustainably, with advanced technology mimicking the natural growth process of a mined diamond.
Cultured diamonds are more expensive than moissanite, ranging between $2,100.00 and $15,000.00+. However, they are significantly more affordable compared to their mined counterparts.
A laboratory grown diamond is the perfect choice for somebody who desires a real diamond with ethical origins.
Crafting Timeframe
We lovingly craft our pieces in Australia, in our Brisbane workshops. Our Bespoke Process (Ring Builder) and Complete Custom Designs are made to order with a current turnaround of 12-14 weeks excluding our Christmas closure period. Our Ready To Propose Collection are ready for purchase and resizing with a turnaround of only 2 weeks.
Standard Crafting
Our bespoke crafting turnaround aims to ensure your piece will be completed within 12-14 weeks, excluding our two week holiday closure period.
Holiday Crafting Timeframes
Our Christmas crafting deadline was September 30th. All orders placed after this date will incur a longer lead time as stated above, which does not include our Christmas closure period: 22nd of December to the 6th of January.
Priority Crafting (Currently Unavailable)
If you choose priority crafting we guarantee your piece will be crafted in 4-5 weeks. This service incurs a $750.00 fee.

Carat
Carat refers to the weight of a diamond. Moissanite and diamonds don’t weight the same, so we place emphasis on the phrase carat equivalent. Our carats of moissanite are determined based on the visual appearance of the diamond carat equivalent on the hand. This means, if you’re choosing a 2 carat moissanite it will visually appear the same on the hand as a 2 carat lab diamond, irrespective of the actual weight.
Colour
Colour refers to a gemstone's natural colour, not the coloured flashes of light the diamond emits when it moves, known as fire. Colour is graded alphabetically from D (Colourless) to Z (Light Yellow).
Lab Grown Diamonds
We primarily work with IGI and GIA certified lab grown diamonds that range between the DEF colour range, to ensure the whitest and brightest appearance.
Moissanite - Colourless
Our signature Eternal Brilliance Moissanite is D - Colourless. This is the most diamond-like, and the most beloved moissanite gemstone colour choice amongst our couples.
Moissanite - Champagne
We offer a bespoke range of champagne coloured moissanite, ranging from a light yellow tone to a deep cognac.
Moissanite - Coloured
We offer an extensive range of coloured moissanite. Design your dream ring with a burst of colour.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the inclusions found in a gemstone. These can occur during the growth methods utilised when created in a laboratory. Our Eternal Brilliance Moissanite boasts a clarity of VVS1.
Faceting
Faceting refers to how the gemstone has been cut and determines the internal appearance of the stone itself, rather than the shape. Moissanite gemstones can be cut and faceted to change the stone’s overall visual appearance, including its fire and brilliance.
Bespoke Customisations
A bespoke customisation is the perfect way to add individual flair to your dream ring. Choose from a pavé band, hidden halo or pavé bridge. These customisations are available in both moissanite or lab grown diamonds.

All rings crafted by The Moissanite Company are bespoke and can be designed to your exact specifications, including ring size. We utilise Australian Standard Sizing. To ensure you’re selecting your correct ring size, please refer to the below international sizing chart. If you are unsure, request a complimentary ring sizer to size your finger from the comfort of your own home.

Metal Karat
Yellow Gold
14 karat yellow gold is made up of 58.5% pure gold, and 41.5% alloy. 14 karat is a beautiful yellow gold option with a soft, golden hue.
18 karat yellow gold is made up of 75% pure gold and 25% alloy. 18 Karat has a slightly richer yellow tone.
Rose Gold
14 karat rose gold contains 58.5% pure gold and 41.5% alloy, primarily copper. It has a beautiful soft and subtle rose colour.
18 karat rose gold contains 75% pure gold and 25% alloy, primarily copper. 18 karat rose gold is more lustrous and has a deeper rose hue.
White Gold
Both 14 karat and 18 karat white gold look identical in appearance, as they are plated in rhodium. Just like their yellow gold counterparts, 14 karat contains 58.5% pure gold and 41.5% alloy and 18 karat contains 75% pure gold and 25% alloy.
Platinum
Platinum is a naturally white metal, is denser and a more durable metal compared to its white gold counterparts. Our platinum is of the highest purity, 95% pure platinum and 5% alloy.
Precious Metal Type
Our engagement rings are crafted utilising the highest quality Australian and responsibly sourced precious metal. Choose from 14 Karat or 18 Karat Yellow, White or Rose Gold or Platinum.
We can also craft your dream ring in one solid precious metal or two, known as a two-tone setting. The basket will be crafted in platinum (PT950).

Please Note:
If you choose a gemstone over 2 carats, the minimum band width is 1.8mm. Your ring will be crafted with this band width as the minimum unless selecting our 2.0mm option.
Some signature engagement ring styles have an intentionally thicker band width that is standard to the design. This cannot be altered.
Prong Style
Prongs also known as claws, are what wraps around the gemstone and secures it perfectly in place. We offer three signature styles of prongs.

We offer two setting heights for our traditional solitaire designs. The High Setting and Low Setting. Below is a depiction of the difference between the two styles. Both our High and Low Settings sit flush with our Signature Ceremonial Rings.

Accent Stone
Select your desired accent gemstones. Just like your main centre stone, you have this option to select either moissanite or lab grown diamonds for the accompanying accents.
Bespoke Customisations
A bespoke customisation is the perfect way to add individual flair to your dream ring. Choose from a pavé band, hidden halo or pavé bridge. These customisations are available in both moissanite or lab grown diamonds.
Complimentary Engraving
Add a touch of sentiment to your dream ring with complimentary engraving. Engraving is located on the inside of the band, and could be a special date, nickname, or inside joke. The choice is yours.
